Most often partnering with executive leadership teams to increase their effectiveness in the midst of escalating complexity, and with conveners of multi-stakeholder dialogue on issues such as climate change and natural resource management, Mary’s recent clients include Merck Serono, Genzyme Europe BV, The Centre for Global Engineering, The World Bank, Torngat Wildlife Secretariat, The Canadian Space Agency, The Playwright’s Guild of Canada, and the League of Canadian Poets.
In 2013, Mary led the facilitation team for the Green Foundation Ireland’s Climate Gathering and initiated the Burren Executive Leadership Retreat in partnership with the Burren College of Art. To this gathering place for global senior leaders she brings years of collaboration with visual artists, musicians, poets and dancers, and a depth of experience cultivating forms of leadership that are more systemic, creative, and adaptive.
Mary holds an MA in Leadership Studies from Royal Roads University, a Diploma in Counseling, certification as an Executive Coach (ACTP) and in the Global Leadership Profile (GLP/LDP), Leadership Circle 360, and Immunity to Change. She teaches in the Strategic Leadership Advanced program at the University of Toronto, and has been privileged to experience the creative inspiration of the Burren since 2005.
Philosophy
We are living in a time of significant change. All around us, systems are giving way and new routes forward have yet to be discovered. It is a time of great potential. Leadership is more important than ever, and it needs to evolve.
I have dedicated my work to supporting the leaders, organizations, and global collaborators who are exploring bold questions and taking creative action in the midst of multiple, converging realities.
