My research explores the challenges and limitations of using play in artistic research to address serious topics like geopolitical trauma. It examines techniques to balance playfulness with gravity, focusing on untold narratives affected by the West Philippine Sea occupation. Employing a Filipina perspective, this study uses play as a transformative tool to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue on power imbalances and psychological impacts in contemporary geopolitical issues.
