My project looks at digitally-inflected forms of masculinity and male power, asking how a constantly adapting male hegemony inside digital capitalism can be better understood through performance art. Through a critical sociological lens heavily influenced by postmodern feminism and Lacanian psychoanalysis, and with tools like Brechtian acting technique, “generative AI”, and audience participation, I create performances that attempt to get inside and expose some of the structural, affective, and ideological ways that powerful digital masculinities exert, conceal, and justify male social power.
