Burren College of Art is an internationally recognised Irish non-profit college specialising in undergraduate, postgraduate, and alternative approaches to fine art education. Located in the unique landscape of the Burren in Ballyvaughan County Clare, the College attracts students, artists, and educators from around the world. Our postgraduate programmes are accredited by University of Galway, and our study abroad programmes partner with more than 40 colleges and universities across North America.

We are currently seeking a Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Registration to join our small and dedicated team.

You may already have experience in higher education administration, admissions, recruitment, student services, or registrar functions, and you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to an innovative and internationally connected art college.

What You’ll Be Doing

This role oversees the student journey from enquiry and application through to registration for postgraduate students, undergraduate study abroad students, and participants in artist residency programmes.

Admissions & Recruitment

· Supporting domestic and international recruitment initiatives

· Managing prospective student enquiries and applications

· Building relationships with study abroad advisors and university partners

· Delivering online and in-person advisory sessions and campus tours

· Coordinating application review and acceptance processes

· Developing student ambassador and alumni engagement initiatives

· Collaborating on recruitment campaigns and communications

· Managing artist residency applications and logistics

Registration & Student Records

· Registering students through Classter and University of Galway systems

· Coordinating postgraduate and undergraduate registration processes

· Managing transcripts and student records

· Supporting QQI compliance and programme reporting

· Maintaining accurate academic module and registration information

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

· First or second-class honours degree

· At least one year of experience in higher education administration

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience supporting students or stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds

Desirable

· Experience in admissions, recruitment, registrar, or student services

· Familiarity with student information systems (Classter experience an advantage)

· Experience with study abroad or international education programmes

· Familiarity with QQI compliance and academic registration systems

· Interest in the arts and creative education
