Artifacts of the past exist now as objects with two histories–-the time from which they originate and as well as our current vantage point. Perspective is impermanent and meaning shifts through changing labels such as "monument" or "a bad memory". For this reason I make the work as a series of processes, each relevant to specific histories. By revisiting old techniques and transitioning them into a contemporary viewpoint, I explore shifting ways of thinking throughout time. As the very meaning of the word past becomes ever more convoluted, we require new tools of categorization.  Born in Morristown, New Jersey Lives and works in Baltimore Maryland
