The Russell Gallery and The Gallery at Burren College of Art host a group exhibition of works by contemporary artists, inspired by Seamus Heaney’s poem Postscript and the beauty of the Flaggy Shore in Co. Clare.  The exhibition, curated by Timothy Emlyn Jones, will take place 4th – 31st July 2015 at both the Russell Gallery and The Gallery at Burren College of Art. 

Artists include:

Thomas Joshua Cooper, Cherokee Nation and Scotland;  Gordon D’Arcy, Ireland; David Ferry, England; Anita Groehner, Netherlands and Ireland; Charles Harper, Ireland;  Tjibbe Hooghiemstra, Netherlands; Timothy Emlyn Jones, Ireland and Wales; Arno Kramer, Netherlands; Sean Lynch, Ireland; Alice Maher, Ireland; Conor McGrady, Ireland; Judith McKimm, Austria; Nick Miller, Ireland; Geraldine O’Reilly, Ireland; Ann Quinn, Ireland; Robin Cole Smith, USA; Lisa Sweeney, Ireland; Donald Teskey, Ireland; Lorraine Wall, Ireland.

A programme of events will include a personal response to the exhibition by Fintan O’Toole; a selection of RTE radio interviews of Seamus Heaney with John Quinn that Mr Quinn will personally introduce; and an introduction to the exhibition by the curator, Prof Timothy Emlyn Jones.
