The 2015 BRESAL symposium, Neither Here Nor There, will examine practice in art research through critically engaging with the diverse methods of interdisciplinary enquiry that characterize contemporary practice based research. Key areas of focus for the symposium will be Visuality, Somatics and Process V Product, which will be examined through presentations from Richard Gough (Artistic Director of the Centre for Performance Research), Robert Platt (Penny Stamps School of Art and Design, University of Michigan) and Fiona Woods (Limerick School of Art and Design).

BRESAL: A Forum for Artists and Scholars, is based on the west coast of Ireland. It was founded by Burren College of Art, The Huston School of Film & Digital Media at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick. The goal of BRESAL is to provide opportunities for artist-scholars to share their work, support doctoral level arts research, and advocate for recognition and support at a national and international level.

6.00 pm Performance by An Tara (Tommy Hayes and Mattu Noone) in Newtown Castle
7.15 pm  Dinner in Ballyvaughan
