Our studios are designed as spaces for student and resident artists to grow and develop to their full potential. The dedicated studio spaces are large, spacious and are available 24/7.
Each graduate student and resident artist studio space is 4m x 4m (13ft x 13ft), well lit with natural and artificial light, and has multiple power sockets and an internet port. The walls of the studios are on tracks to facilitate realignment for exhibitions. Each undergraduate student is allocated a shared studio space of 2m x 4m (6.5ft x 13ft), to which they also have full 24/7 access.
Wireless internet access is available throughout the campus and studios.
The college's facilities reflect the ideas-led ethos of the curriculum. Good facilities for core fine art activities such as painting, drawing, photography/lens-based, digital media and sculpture are provided. We consider it a positive part of the College's ethos that students need to be resourceful in fulfilling their technical needs beyond the range of what is provided. As a small specialised college we do not have the full range of workshop facilities for all media and students and residents should be aware that there are no facilities for ceramics, foundry work or intaglio press printmaking.
